The BSc (Hons) Manchester City Community Football Coaching is a three-year, full-time undergraduate degree developed in partnership between Manchester Met’s Institute of Sport and Manchester City FC’s City in the Community Foundation. It blends academic learning in coaching, sport development, performance analysis, strength and conditioning, and sport sociology with extensive work-based learning at the elite Etihad Campus and Platt Lane Sports Complex. Delivered in cutting-edge facilities—including a £26 million Institute of Sport on Oxford Road—this programme offers students real-world coaching experience, personalised mentoring, and the opportunity to earn professional coaching qualifications, often at reduced or no cost, preparing them for diverse careers in coaching, teaching, sport development, or performance analysis.
