Skills’N’Drills is a Liverpool‑based youth football coaching programme founded in 1998 by UEFA A‑licensed coach Colm Whelan, a former Everton FC Academy and England/GB disability coach. Operating across multiple venues in South Liverpool (including Bluecoat School, St Hilda’s/SFX College), it offers inclusive, integrated one‑hour sessions for boys and girls aged 4–14 . The curriculum emphasizes core technical skills—dribbling, passing, ball control, turning, shooting—alongside decision‑making through small‑sided games, with each child using their own ball to maximise touches. All coaches hold FA Level 2 qualifications, are DBS‑checked, and foster valuable life skills like teamwork, communication, confidence, and respect in a fun, supportive environment. Sessions are grouped by ability to tailor challenge and progression, ensuring all participants are included and engaged.
