Hi! I’m Tijn — born and raised in Amsterdam and currently studying in Lille. I’ve always enjoyed helping others learn, and that interest began back in high school when I frequently tutored classmates. Now, from Lille, I get to combine my love for languages with teaching Dutch online. Outside of studying and teaching, you’ll usually find me playing sports, making music, or spending time with friends. I’ve spent years learning different languages myself — including Ancient Greek and Latin in high school — which has given me a solid understanding of what it takes to learn a language in a clear and structured way. In my lessons, you can expect a calm, friendly atmosphere and a learning plan that fits you. My goal is to support you at your pace and make Dutch feel manageable and enjoyable. Throughout high school, I helped fellow students with subjects such as economics, math, Ancient Greek, Latin, French, and German. I saw firsthand how much progress someone can make with clear explanations and a study plan that actually works for them. Working with so many different learners taught me how to adapt my approach, communicate clearly, and stay patient — all skills I now bring to my Dutch lessons.
